Hands on with Takeuchi’s TB370
The test drive was arranged by Takeuchi UK, in conjunction with the local dealers CBL Plant Sales and long-term Takeuchi fan and owner/operator our friend Owen Mays. It’s been a long wait since we first caught sight of the of the TB370 at Bauma in Munich last year, and although I did get to take a look around one at Conexpo in Las Vegas earlier this year, a chance to get in the seat and on the sticks had evaded me.
Being a fan of the Red & Grey machines myself, I was naturally very excited to see what this new model had to offer, after all, it has big boots to fill as the old TB175 was almost legendary, in terms of smoothness, reliability and above all else, simplicity.
I am going to save my thoughts on the new model for my upcoming article in a future edition of Earthmovers Magazine, but what I will say is that weighing in at 7042kgs and with a power output of 42.4kw, the machine certainly looks the business and is packed full of new features.
