Harsh lesson learnt for excavator driver
This particular clip was recently posted on Facebook by Howard Button of The National Federation of Demolition Contractors and is a prime example of how not to do a job. The footage which was captured by Wolfgang Gabler, in Ried im Innkreis in Upper Austria last year, shows the operator of a Liebherr 944 undermining a building using a hydraulic breaker with inevitable consequences!
A lucky escape for the machine driver, who quite frankly should have known better, but even more so for the demolition worker, who was wearing no PPE whatsoever, just to the side of the working machine who makes a hasty exit as the building topples.

These indivduals were fortunate to escape with their lives in an incident which could have been so much worse.
