Hidromek excavators now just across the channel

Anthony works as a plant operator for Vouziers based Sarl Jaquin in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France, 60km east of Riems. The company is primarily engaged in the plant hire, earthmoving and haulage sectors and have been long term users of Liebherr excavators in the past. However they have recently taken delivery of their first Hidromek machine which is a 22 tonne class HMK220LC which was supplied by French dealership Manut’TP from Villers Sur Bar, who became dealers for the Turkish manufactured machines back in 2012. The machine has been supplied with a German made Lehnoff, Lehmatic powertilt attachment, who products some sharp eyed readers might recall are now being sold in the UK by Cheshire based Worsley Plant. The Powertilt attachment features its own hydraulic quick-hitch and the machine has also been supplied with a full set of matching Lehnoff buckets.  Anthony has put his new machine to work on a sewer line excavation project for a new housing development. Talking to the Digger Man Blog about his new machine Anthony said, “The behaviour of the machine is very good, the use of Japanese component’s gives it a good smooth feel on the controls, the Lehmatic is controlled by the proportional controls on top of the levers which is nice, however with the large earthmoving bucket on you know you have considerable weight on the end of the stick, overall I am very happy with the machine”. We thank Anthony for sharing these photos and his thoughts on the Hidromek with us here on the Digger Man Blog. Don't forget to check out my report from the Hidromek factory in Ankara, in issue 119 of Earthmovers Magazine in the shops on Friday February 14th.
