Hitachi relocates Scottish depot

Hitachi Construction Machinery UK (HCMUK) is relocating its Scottish depot to support its fast-growing customer base and increasing demand for Product Support. The company is leaving its 1,200sq ft Bellshill parts depot to open a new 12,500sq ft Product Support facility in Cumbernauld, Glasgow. The new depot will be at the heart of the Hitachi customer ownership experience in Scotland, providing Parts, Service and Sales support to new and existing customers.

Eight full time members of staff will be based at the new depot, complete with parts warehouse with trade counter, workshop space, modern office space to accommodate the Sales team and a large, concreted yard to house new and used Hitachi machines. The new base will also create two new full-time positions at HCMUK, helping to boost the local economy and further secure the companies investment North of the Border. The new depot can be found at: 45 Toll Park Place, Ward Park Industrial Estate, Cumbernauld, Glasgow, G68 0LN.

Earlier this week, Hitachi announced a new partnership with telematics company ABAX to provide a comprehensive fleet management system to owners of mixed equipment fleets.
