Hitachi reviews production activity
Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd has revealed the current status of its main production bases due to the spread of the coronavirus infection. Prolonged tightening of restrictions by governments in each country and region has made it difficult for Hitachi (and indeed other manufacturers) to continue production at the normal level. The entire Hitachi Construction Machinery Group is co-operating with authorities in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to resolve the situation as soon as possible. Below is the status of each Hitachi factory.
- Tsuchiura Works (and six other sites), Japan: Planning for production adjustments at four sites.
- Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME), the Netherlands: Planning for production adjustments.
- Hitachi Construction Machinery (China): Resumed production on March 12th.
- Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company, India: Production halted at two plants from March 25th to April 14th.
- Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia: In operation as normal.
- Hitachi Construction Machinery Eurasia, Russia: Production halted from March 28th to April 7th.
