HUGE ELECTRIC DIRECTIONAL DRILL
Netherlands-based Normag introduced what it claims to be the first all-electric heavy-duty directional drill. The example on show at Bauma was on a tracked undercarriage, one of a number of variants available.
This new machine features a raised cab for a great view of the rod handling process and offers 100 tonnes of thrust and 300 tonnes of pullback force. Rod handling is undertaken by an integrated Atlas crane together with a specialist attachment.
