HUGE PIPE LAYER
Dressta has launched what it claims to be the world’s largest side boom pipe-layer, the 100-tonne capacity SB85R model. The machine weighs 64.5 tonnes, of which 12.4 tonnes comprises the extendable ballast frame and blocks. The standard lifting arm is 7.3 metres, and a 9m version is available as an option. The Dressta SB85R is powered by a six-cylinder 276kW Cummins engine.
