It’s a Cat double act as Whitnell buys two 313F L GC excavators thanks to social media

With cost-per-hour contracts becoming more prominent, the Cat 313 is designed specifically for the UK plant hire market. Its best in class fuel efficiency, high productivity and robustness are tailored to maximise the output value per hour, ensuring contractors get the best possible return on their investment. Lionel Whitnell, Owner of Whitnell Plant, commented on the deal: “Although we do earthmoving, groundworks and contracting, the Cat 313 machines will be perfect for Whitnell’s traditional plant hire services, whilst they will also be used for small works contracts we win. We operate nationally, so both machines will be in action shortly after they’re delivered.” Vic Mallet, Finning Sales Representative, added: “Whitnell continues to be a loyal Cat and Finning customer. Unbeknown to me, Lionel saw YouTube footage of the new Cat 313F L GC excavator and was impressed. Then next time I was at the Whitnell’s head office near Colchester, we finalised the deal for two units to be delivered in June this year directly after the PlantWorx show.” As author of the Digger Man Blog, I am delighted that some of our coverage of this new product played a part in spreading the information about this new machine. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lionel for his continued support for the blog and I look forward to visiting the new machines for a future article in Earthmovers Magazine.
