JCB Livelink becomes standard on mini excavators and site dumpers

JCB has announced that its LiveLink telematics system will now be fitted as standard on all mini excavators and site dumpers, giving customers access to connected machine data from the point of delivery.

The move is part of JCB Aftersales’ drive towards 100% machine connectivity and is intended to give operators greater visibility of machine performance, improve uptime and provide additional support throughout the equipment lifecycle. With the addition of mini excavators and site dumpers, LiveLink is now available across JCB’s full construction and agricultural equipment ranges.

JCB Group Managing Director – Global Aftersales, Mario Moser, said: “Connectivity is now a fundamental part of modern equipment ownership. This is a significant milestone in JCB’s journey towards delivering a fully digitally enabled product portfolio. We are giving customers immediate access to the data and support they need to run their machines more profitably, safely and sustainably.

“Specific benefits of JCB LiveLink on these product ranges include alerting and tracking in the event of theft, staying informed with real-time tracking, reducing downtime with early fault detection and reducing maintenance costs through proactive servicing.”

Previously available as an optional extra with a three-year subscription, LiveLink will now come fitted as standard on both ranges, with a five-year subscription included.

The system allows customers to monitor machine location, utilisation, fuel consumption, maintenance requirements and security through a web browser or mobile app. It can also be used across mixed fleets.

JCB LiveLink currently connects more than 580,000 machines worldwide for over 40,000 customers, helping operators improve fleet visibility, maximise uptime and make more informed decisions around machine use and maintenance.
