JCB rolls back the years at the factory

The JCB 3CIII was one of the company’s best-selling products of all time, and as reported on the blog previously, long term JCB employee Julian Carder has restored an example back to showroom condition. I have a lot of affection for this model as my full time operating career started with a brand new 3CIII in 1979 which I operated for George Wimpey on sites in and around Southampton. This footage shows Julian driving his fully restored machine down the current production line, where this example was actually built back in 1978.
The clip ends with the machine being parked up for display purposes in the main JCB office. All credit to Julian for such an outstanding job with the restoration.
