JCB stone saw AKA the Contract Killer

The machine in question is a JCB 3CX MarbleMaster and it is used by Albion Stone in the Portland area of Dorset, to cut giant lumps of stone from the Jurassic period which is commonly found in that location. The actual saw attachment is an Italian Fantini design. With this system giant blocks of stone can be squared up easily on the quarry floor and even in some cases on the face wall too. Attached to the JCB this whole operation is turned into a one man job making stone cutting far more easy and safer for all concerned. I am so curious now, that I think I will be “digging” into my stockpile of previous issues for a look!
