Komatsu’s D475A it’s a bit of a beast

A Scottish quarry  has just started operating arguably Europe’s largest  bulldozer, an up-armoured Komatsu D475A-5 at Fife Silica Sands, a division of Patersons of Greenoakhill Ltd,  in Fife. Earthmovers will bring you a worldwide exclusive report on the machine’s build-up by MKL, adaptation details and why we believe it’s the biggest Bulldozer Europe, full details in the next issue out on the 3rd November. And in a later edition we will be covering its operational performance working in this arduous quarry application. As a taster for the upcoming article check out this video footage of a similar D475A owned by Kamitake Construction in action which I believe to have been taken somewhere in Japan. I expect sharp eyed readers to correct me if I’m wrong by the way!
