Liebherr’s BIG attraction at Bauma

The giant Liebherr dumptruck has become something of a focal point at Bauma over the years and is always guaranteed to draw a crowd when it is fired up intermittently to raise and lower the dump body in front of a thrilled and captive audience. The Liebherr T 282C has impressive statistics; the machine has a gross weight of 600 tonnes and is capable of carrying a payload of 363 tonnes at a top speed of 64kmh. At the 2013 event Liebherr displayed the smaller T 264 model, which weighs in at 424 tonnes and is capable of carrying a payload of 240 tonnes. Still a very impressive truck by anyone's standards. Perhaps even more impressive is just how these giants of the mining world are put together, in this video from Liebherr we get an insight into just how much work goes into manufacturing and assembling these big trucks.
