Liebherr’s “Big Boy” arrives Down Under

The all new PR 776 got its world premiere at the Bauma Trade Fair in 2016. The machine is built at the manufacturer’s specialist dozer facility in Telfs, Austria and takes its power from a Liebherr 12-cylinder diesel engine developing 565kW (768 HP). The PR 776 has a maximum operating weight of 74 t and is equipped with blade capacities of 18 m³ / 23.5 yd3 (semi-U blade) or 22 m³ / 28.8 yd3 (U blade). A field follow unit was deployed to Australia in the early stages of production but this machine is expected to be the first one delivered to a purchasing customer who is engaged in mining. So without further ado, check out the video of the machines journey from the Port of Melbourne to Liebherr’s Australian Head Office in Adelaide, where it was fitted out with the required site safety specifications for the region.
