LiuGong 915D has the gentle touch on sensitive job site

Havergate Island is owned and managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and is located within the River Ore at the side of Orford Ness. Orford Ness was the headquarters of the  Atomic weapons research establishment and many sensitive works were carried out on the Ness up to the late 1960s. 915d-havergate-island-2 The LiuGong Excavator was transported to Havergate Island by the converted landing craft, Guinevere that is still in service and was used to supply Orford Ness Island with goods and supply’s for the MOD. 915d-havergate-island Simon Tobin, Area Sales Manager for LiuGong said, he was delighted that the LiuGong performed excellently on what was a very sensitive project. The Cummins engine working in conjunction with the well proven Kawasaki hydraulics makes this machine very powerful while offering very smooth and precise operation. havergate-island-3 Tony Canham, Miles Water Contracts Manager said that Miles Water enjoyed a very good working relationship with the RSPB because of the attention to detail offed by the company. Speaking about the LiuGong excavator Mr Canham said, "We were delighted with the machine and it performed very well". havergate-island-4 David Fairhurst, South Suffolk Coastal Warden for the RSPB, said  ‘’It was great having the machine the out on RSPB Havergate Island as it enabled us to do some essential habitat management such as de-silting around the inlet and out sluices, repairing sections of the river-wall and re-profiling some of the islands within the saline lagoons ‘’
