Manitou shakes up dealer network

Manitou UK Ltd has confirmed that Thurlow Nunn Standen will become a Manitou Agricultural, Industrial and Construction dealer for the East Anglia region from January 1st 2021. TNS will have access to the full range of agricultural and industrial products and services across its entire trading area.

Operating from five sites, the company will cover a slightly smaller geographical area for the Manitou construction product range and will be responsible for sales of new machines whilst providing aftersales back-up to existing customers. Thurlow Nunn Standen replaces Ben Burgess, which has been a Manitou dealer since 2007. The companies announced that they are parting ways earlier this week, following Burgess’ decision to promote telehandlers made by Manitou rival Kramer, although BB will continue to sell and support Manitou products until the year's end.

Elsewhere, Robert Coates Plant Sales, Stoke-on-Trent, has been appointed Manitou's Construction product dealer for Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire and Manchester from January 1st 2021, taking over from BTE Plant Sales. As part of the agreement, P V Dobson’s Construction territory will expand further south to the M62 / North Manchester. Hessle Fork Trucks will also extend their area south into Lincolnshire. Mawsley Machinery will extend northwards into Leicestershire.
