The Finnish attachment manufacturer has made a removeable rotator unit which can be easily dropped off from tilting unit when sitting in the cabin. According to the manufacturer the rotation facility is not always needed, so now it can be taken off, if for instance, the machine has come across heavy digging in rocky or frozen ground and extra breakout force is required. The removeable rotation system which is said to be the first of its kind, has been fitted to a brand-new Volvo EC250EL hydraulic excavator which is owned and operated by Finnish contractor Takanen MR who are based in Ylivieska in Northern Finland. In the Nordic territories 3D-Systems for excavation have become a way of life as are tiltrotator’s which they have been using for over 25 years. This particular machine is fitted with Leica’s 3D machine control set up, which the operator suggests makes daily life so much easier. Check out the video below from Koneporssi.
