Massive Chip Dozer

The Wagner CHD 100 is a purpose-built wood chip dozer manufactured by American company Allied Systems. The CHD 100 is the largest of a 3-model main line range, although there is an export model which can carry slightly more capacity. The machine is fitted with a massive 50 cubic yard bucket and can push an equal sized amount up front using all of its power from a 6-cylinder Cummins QSX-15 diesel engine which offers a power output rating of 535hp (392kw). There is also an option to have a Caterpillar engine on request. The company claim that these machines will out produce all other chip handling machines, with its “Carry & Doze” concept effectively doubling production. The machines are built in Sherwood, Oregon, an area in the North West of America which has historically become synonymous with forestry and timber product production and many of their machines are sold into the home market.
