McHale Plant Sales take on new Metso crushers
McHale Plant Sales, the Metso distributor for the UK and Ireland, says growing demand for housing and infrastructure renewal is creating opportunities for contractors involved in demolition, construction and recycling.
The comments follow the launch of two new Lokotrack mobile crushers at Steinexpo in Germany: the 70-tonne LT400RS diesel-electric mobile impact crusher and the LT200HPX mobile cone crusher with integrated screening.
McHale sales director Denis McGrath described the machines as “two very significant additions” to Metso’s Lokotrack range.
“Together, the LT400RS and LT200HPX both bring customers purpose-built solutions in two expanding and important areas: recycling and aggregates production,” he said.
The LT400RS is designed to process concrete, asphalt and mixed demolition waste, including material containing rebar, wood and other contaminants. Its diesel-electric powertrain can be connected to the electrical grid, with the machine also designed for transport between sites.
The machine is equipped with a 250kW Nordberg NP1213MR impact crusher, a 430kW genset, heavy-duty blow bars and a two-deck product screen with 6.4m² of screening area. Other features include a wind sifter, adjustable electromagnet, wide conveyors and access points designed to aid cleaning and maintenance.
According to McHale, the LT400RS is aimed at improving material separation and productivity while reducing fuel consumption and emissions in demanding recycling applications.
The LT200HPX is aimed at hard-rock crushing and aggregate production, using a high-capacity Nordberg HP200e cone crusher. Its integrated screening configuration includes a two-deck pre-screen and a 5.6m² two-deck product screen, all mounted on a single tracked unit.
Wide conveyors are used to maintain material flow through the machine, while folding functions are designed to simplify transport between sites.
McHale says the two machines broaden Metso’s mobile crushing offering for contractors working in both demolition and aggregate production.
