Molson Young switches to Ammann

From October 1st 2020, Scotland-based Molson Young Plant Sales will switch from offering Bomag equipment to Ammann heavy and light compaction equipment. The Ammann range is already established within Molson divisions in England and Wales, and conquering Scotland is the logical next step for the Group. Indeed, Molson Young reckons the transition from Bomag to Ammann will be seameless, as machnes and parts are already in stock within the Molson Group.

The good news for Bomag customers is that Molson will continue to support them, confirmed Mark Proudfoot, Director at Molson Young Plant Sales. “Being a Bomag dealer since 2003, we have a large number of customers that operate Bomag machines across Scotland.  It is important for them to know that although our dealership agreement with Bomag has been terminated, we will continue to support them with any requirements they have to keep their machines running with the same level of care and attention as we always have done.

“Our customers will benefit from the addition of Ammann products, which will increase our product range to now include heavy compaction equipment,” he continued. “The ability to offer customers these additional products is key to our ‘Single Source Supply’ strategy that allows customers to maximize their buying power by simplifying their supply chain.

“With their comprehensive range that is known for having the highest levels of build quality, I am sure that the Ammann range will prove as popular in Scotland as it has with our customers in England and Wales,” Mark said, before adding, “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the team at Bomag for all their work over the last 17 years of the partnership and wish them all the success in the future.”

Ammann is a supplier of mixing plants, machines and services to the construction industry with core expertise in road building and transportation infrastructure. The family-owned company has enjoyed international success since 1869. Hans-Christian Schneider, current Ammann CEO, is the sixth generation to run the business, which now has 3,000 employees and more than 200 dealers in over 100 countries.
