More Greek classic kit in action

Getting any detail on these shots and the type of work has been difficult due in part to my complete lack of knowledge about the Greek language and our reader suffering a similar problem with English! But it’s the photos that count and as they say, a picture speaks a thousand words. As far as I am aware this company NITEAE, is run by Lucas Nitsas and they work in and around the town of Kozani. The company run a mixed fleet of machines ranging from Caterpillar mini excavators to full size machines from Liebherr. In this shot we see Lucas at the controls of a Liebherr 912 Litronic wheeled excavator loading one of the company’s tipper trucks. In this busy site scene we see one of NITEAE’s Caterpillar 303CR mini excavators which I suspect might have been owned by Hewden Plant Hire in its previous life. Below the Cat mini excavator is a German made Eder wheeled excavator. And here we have another Liebherr 912 in action, pulling up some concrete driveways which have clearly seen better days. Nice to see someone wearing a Hi-Viz vest in this shot too! I liked this shot, not just because it features a Cat 216B skid steer loader, but more so because of the trio of classic excavators that are featured in the background. Which appear to be two Poclain 170’s sporting Case-Poclain colours and possibly an old Liebherr 941 to the far right of the shot. Finally in this shot we see the company’s British built JCB 4CX getting to grips with what was once somebody’s pride and joy, a classic Mercedes Benz, which has now been consigned to the scrap heap!
