JCB’s new £50 million factory to produce cabs is set to open this summer. The shell of the 350,000-square-foot plant is located next to the Heavy Products factory and the World Parts Centre at Uttoxeter.
The investment, one of the biggest in the company’s history, will create what is probably the most advanced cab production facility in the world, with a computer-controlled production line, a fully-automated paint facility and robotic welding. The new site will accommodate 400 employees, who will relocate from the current factory at Rugeley.
