New Sany SY215C Stage 5 excavator

Sany has now officially launched its new, 22- to 24-tonne class Sany SY215C Stage 5 excavator – the follow-up model to the SY215C Tier 4 Final excavator, which the manufacturer says has proven popular with customers across the UK and Ireland.

Powered by a fuel efficient Cummins QSB6.7 172hp engine, the new Sany SY215C boasts a whole host of features and benefit aimed at improving the overall experience for the operator and business users.  Designed to provide the operator with higher levels of comfort, the new SY215C comes with a fully improved driver’s cabin, which includes an upgraded air suspension, heated, seat with console adjustment. There is a new 10-inch LCD touchscreen with enhanced operator control and functionality, giving the operator greater command over the set up of the machine.

Intended to reduced fatigue, the brand new cabin also features an intelligent climate control function with in-cab sensors, helping to automatically adjust the temperature for the operator. Finally, the operator can benefit from the new and improved fast charge USB point, providing reduced charge times for mobile phones and electronic devices.

An added feature of the modernised 10-inch LCD touchscreen display is the ‘fault code query’ function which allows the operator to gain more, detailed information on fault codes which may occur during operation. This allows for quicker diagnosis of any issues, ultimately reducing the machine downtime.

Improving safety was a key priority when designing the new SY215C, says Sany, and that’s why the machine comes with a high specification 270-degree camera system as standard (360-degree is optional) which is combined with a powerful set of LED lights positioned all round the excavator for excellent visibility.
