New-design Yanmar excavator
Yanmar has launched a new midi excavator with two-piece boom. The eight-tonne ViO80-2PB model is more versatile than most midi excavators, reckons its manufacturer, thanks to its redesigned boom, which allows its operator to place loads with greater precision.
The ViO80-2PB is equipped with Yanmar’s 4TNV98C-WBV1 engine, producing 56hp and featuring a direct-injection common-rail system, while exhaust gas recirculation and a diesel particle filter help reduce emissions. The ViO80-2PB excavator is also equipped with an automatic idling function and Eco mode to improve efficiency.
Inside Yanmar’s new ViO80-2PB, the operator is treated to an air-suspended seat, plus a redesigned dashboard, armrest and footwell. Access to the cab has been made easier, too.
