No surf… Just grab a John Deere excavator

This video was only posted on You Tube last Thursday, but such is the power of the internet, it has already far surpassed the one million views milestone, thanks in part to the linking to Facebook, Twitter, and many other forms of social media. This new video is a high production affair which appears to have been heavily sponsored by Mountain Dew soft drinks. The action took place at Utah Lake, where the team deployed a John Deere 210G LC hydraulic excavator out into the water, where the wake boarders attached themselves to the machine by using a rope for some high speed action as the machine slewed then around. [youtube width="725" height="344"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSUNllgMCqY[/youtube] It has to be said there are some fantastic camera angle shots in this video, using not only hand held camera’s and Go Pro’s but in addition some cracking aerial footage too, using a remote control flying camera mount called an “Octocopter”. I have seen these in operation a number of times now, with the last time being at the Case Customer Centre in Paris recently, when I thought it was going to land on my head! I think you will agree, the people behind this latest excavator based stunt, have done a pretty good job!
