Non-stop operation on roadworks sites
A new Bobcat T86 compact track loader has become a staple at Gambara Asfalti’s roadworks sites, where it is used continuously for site preparation and material handling.
Based in the Brescia area of Italy and specializing in roadworks, paving, yard construction, kerbing and direct asphalt production for forty years, Gambara Asfalti SpA operates primarily in the provinces of Brescia, Cremona, Mantua, Parma and Piacenza. The company has recently added the Bobcat T86 compact track loader as part of its fleet, selecting it to handle all preliminary site phases.
A prime example is a roadworks project in Dello (Brescia), where the T86 played a pivotal role in preparing the site for a major local company, ensuring precision and operational continuity ahead of the subsequent paving stages.
Thanks to its high manoeuvrability and engine power, the T86 enabled the precise removal of the entire topsoil layer, effectively eliminating irregularities and debris while ensuring a uniform base ready for the next steps of the project.
It handled not only removal but also the spreading and levelling of stabilized base material; the T86 distributed the material evenly, compacting it progressively to create a smooth, stable final surface. Every movement of the loader combined power and precision, confirming the T86 as a valuable ally for tackling demanding tasks with extreme efficiency.
The T86 has proven to be an indispensable tool for jobs where power, precision, and reliability must go hand in hand.
Bobcat T86 Loader: Ideal for roadworks
The Bobcat R-Series T86 compact track loader represents the pinnacle of Bobcat’s technological evolution in its class. It stands out for delivering the highest engine and hydraulic power the company has ever achieved—qualities that make it particularly well-suited for the demanding tasks typical of road construction sites, where efficiency, versatility and consistent performance are essential.
At the heart of the machine lies the proven 3.4-litre Bobcat Stage V engine, capable of delivering 78 kW (105 HP). This unit ensures smooth, reliable power delivery that complies with emission regulations, while simultaneously offering low fuel consumption and high productivity, even during continuous operation.
One of the T86’s key strengths is the great flexibility of its hydraulic system, which easily adapts to various attachments and tasks. Operators can choose from three auxiliary flow levels: 87 l/min for loading, hauling or low-demand attachments; 138 l/min in High Flow mode for more demanding attachments; and the Bobcat-exclusive Super Flow, which reaches 159 l/min for the most rigorous applications.
Majkol Fornari, Site Manager at Gambara Asfalti, states: “We chose to purchase the T86 compact track loader because we consider it the flagship of the Bobcat range. It is an extremely powerful machine that is making many of our tasks simpler and faster.
“We use it every day across all our sites—primarily with a bucket for ground preparation, ranging from removing irregularities to surface levelling, but also with forks for handling kerbs, pipes and other site materials. The machine has proved to be powerful and capable of meeting the most complex demands of our work. Thanks to this performance, we are considering purchasing a second T86 and a wheeled loader, as well as new Bobcat attachments like the planer and trencher, to further expand our operational capabilities on site.”
Gambara Asfalti and Zanon & Ormac – a solid partnership
Operational satisfaction is matched by satisfaction with the business relationship, as highlighted by Tommaso Brognoli, Director of Gambara Asfalti: “We are thoroughly pleased with the purchase of the Bobcat T86 loader, supplied by the dealer, Zanon, with whom we have built a relationship based on deep trust. The availability, rapid response times and reliability Zanon demonstrates in its after-sales service are of fundamental value to us. We know we can always count on them as a serious and competent partner.”
Zanon & Ormac operates through five locations. To ensure rapid, highly qualified aftersales service, the company also operates mobile workshops that provide specialized assistance directly on-site.
