Plantworx LiuGong special

I think it’s safe to say that the LiuGong stand was often one of the busiest at Plantworx, thanks in part to the demonstration plot antics of one of J. Ffrench’s operators who was doing his best to keep the crowds entertained on a relatively tight plot with a 36 tonne LiuGong excavator and a Dressta dozer. When I first caught up with the guys from CPMS the operator was in full swing on the plot, operating the LiuGong 936E and doing his best to replicate the stunts which we were more accustomed to seeing on the Hyundai stand back in the days of SED with our old friend Doug Potter doing the business. This kind of “showmanship” does tend to split opinion amongst visitors for sure, one only has to have a read on the various social media platforms to realise that, but at the end of the day nobody can deny, it attracts visitors to the stand in their masses and the “stunt” operating certainly worked, add to that the generous CPMS hospitality of free food and drink for all, it really was a stand to remember for visitors. The operator’s other stunt was some steep gravity defying bank work with the LiuGong owned Dressta TD-15R dozer, which during my numerous visits to the stand received various comments from people stood viewing around me ranging from, “He’s a b***** hooligan”, to “He’s some operator that fella”. We will let you decide what you think! If you missed the action at Plantworx those cinematically gifted guys at Diggers & Dozers caught some of it on camera and as sponsors, presented the operator with the award for best live demonstration at the show!
