QMS begins introduction of Propel mobile range
Quarry Manufacturing & Supplies (QMS) has begun the introduction of Propel Industries’ tracked mobile crushing and screening range in the UK and Channel Islands, following its appointment as the manufacturer’s sole distributor for the region.
Propel Industries, part of the Propel Group, is a major manufacturer of stationary and mobile equipment for the extractive industries in India. QMS plans to introduce a selection of Propel’s equipment to the aggregates, quarrying, surface mining and recycling sectors over the coming months. The partnership combines QMS’s experience in crushing and screening equipment and aftermarket support with Propel’s range of mobile and stationary processing equipment. QMS will initially focus on Propel’s tracked mobile crushers and screens, complementing its existing range of static aggregate processing equipment. The equipment being introduced includes TMJ Series track-mounted jaw crushers, TMC/QM Series track-mounted cone crushers, track-mounted vertical shaft impactors (VSI), and track-mounted screens and scalpers. The TMJ Series is designed for primary crushing applications, with large feed openings and mobility suited to quarrying, surface mining and recycling. Propel’s tracked cone crushers are designed to provide consistent product gradation and high production rates, while its VSI range is aimed at producing cubical aggregates. The tracked screening and scalping range is available in a number of deck configurations for material classification and final product screening.
Focus on efficiency
Propel’s mobile equipment incorporates a number of technologies designed to reduce fuel consumption, operating costs and emissions. Onboard electric generators are used alongside the company’s Propel Drive System, which includes electric motor-driven head pulleys designed to improve energy transfer and reduce mechanical losses. The tracked range is intended to provide a mobile crushing and screening solution, combining rapid setup with the flexibility required across quarrying, surface mining and recycling applications.

Performance and support
QMS managing director Jonathan Beck said: “We are truly excited about the possibilities of the Propel range of mobile crushing and screening equipment. This means our customers will gain access to a comprehensive range of aggregate processing equipment. Propel offers field proven fuel efficient and sustainable advanced integrated mobile and stationary crushing, screening and washing systems.” Alongside the equipment itself, QMS says its aftermarket capabilities will form an important part of the partnership, with the company providing sales, service, maintenance and spare parts support for Propel machines.
“As Europe’s leading provider of crusher and screen aftermarket support and spare parts, we will be able to provide full support for the Propel mobile range, from comprehensive sales to service, maintenance and aftermarket support from the highly experienced and professional QMS team. This collaboration has been formed to strengthen our capabilities, delivering even greater value through market leading aggregate processing solutions,” concludes Jonathan Beck.
QMS will continue introducing Propel Industries’ mobile crusher and screening equipment to the UK and Channel Islands market over the coming months.
