Rare Classic German Dumper

Anyway, having more recently visited another batch of Wacker Neuson DV100 Dual View dumpers, which are at the cutting edge of site dumper technology, I decided to take a look for some classic German site dumpers and while doing so I came across some photos of an O&K Motrak AS100 which has been lovingly restored and is owned by Einfach Daniel.

I believe this is the second example this lad has owned and he has displayed his other one at various classic plant demonstrations in Germany. To be perfectly honest, I’d never seen one of these before, but from what I’ve been able to find out, these dumpers were produced in the late 1950’s to the early 1960’s and were powered by a 7hp ILO two-stroke diesel engine.

This machine was real old school kit, front wheel drive, rear wheel steering without any assistance, a metal seat with some crude suspension, and a gravity tipping mechanism. Of course, this was the norm for site dumpers for  generations and its incredible how they have evolved today.

You would certainly know you had done a shift on one of these for sure. This photo compilation video shows another restored AS100.

The Digger Man Blog would like to thank Einfach Daniel for the use of his photos in this post.
