R.G. LeTourneau an earthmoving machinery icon

R.G. LeTourneau was an innovative pioneer in the mechanized earthmoving machinery world and his designs and developments certainly paved the way for many of today’s modern machines. Some of his machines were way out there in terms of technical design, but many were simple but effective machines like the range of wheeled Tournadozers, which looked a bit like modern day skid steer loaders on steroids and were first introduced as far back as 1947. The company is probably even more famous for its range of Tournapull motor scrapers which were first launched in 1938.
