Ridgway buys Komatsu machines

Ridgway Rentals has bolstered its hire fleet with a £12 million order of Komatsu models. Placed earlier this year, the order comprises 130 machines ranging from 2.5 to 36 tonnes, and includes a number of D61PXi-24 and D65PXi-18 bulldozers, plus six crawler excavators (PC360LC-11 and PC138US-11 models) fitted with super long fronts to meet demand for these machines in sectors such as quarrying, waterways and railways.

Specialised wheel loaders with solid tyres, high tip buckets and fire suppression equipment were also ordered by Ridgway Rentals to serve on waste and recycling sites. Indeed, the majority of these wheel loaders are being supplied on long term contract hire.

Ridgway Rentals is already familiar with Komatsu machines, having supplied a customer with PC210LCD-11 crawler excavators, complete with elevating cabs, last year. Back in 2017, Ridgway was the first plant hire company in the UK to purchase Komatsu’s intelligent excavators and bulldozers.
