Sany Excavator in Extreme Stunt

We have seen them all in recent years here on the Digger Man Blog but it would appear that the Chinese are now prepared to take these types of stunt to the next level. In this stunt the operator is seen tracking a 7.5 tonne Sany SY75C midi excavator across two suspended heavy duty cable wires from one platform to another in what at first glance looks like a spectacular display of daring do! img_1786 On closer inspection though we get a glimpse of the safety strops above the machine which are suspended from a crane which would in the event of anything going wrong stop the excavator from crashing to the ground. Either way you look at it it’s still an impressive display.
The Chinese appear to be continually working on new routines to showcase their products and to impress potential customers of the merits of their machines. The latest one involves tracking a machine on one track on an elevated runner while evening up the balance by extending the arm and weighted bucket. Earthmovers Magazine's equivalent of the Scarlet Pimpernel, roving reporter Paul Argent, was recently out in China and was invited to try out the routine for himself as we see in the photo below as he tests out the laws of physics with the modified SY75C! argie
