Staffordshire Moorlands based Eddie Warrener, has been at the forefront of tilitrotator usage in the UK for many years, having adopted the Engcon system as his preferred make, on his highly specialized Kubota LGP machines. I think it’s safe to say Eddie who trades as Moorlands Specialist Excavations Ltd, has probably done more than anyone in the UK to help promote the tiltrotator concept and as a result Kubota have secured some fantastic publicity too, which is a real credit to the man and his machines. When Eddie arrived for work last week the sight that greeted him could have been straight out of a Swedish machinery brochure, as his latest machine the Kubota KX080-4 was surrounded by a picturesque blanket of snow. The snow doesn’t seem to be hanging around at the moment though and Eddie said it looked glorious to start with, but in no time it turned into a slushy mess, as is always the case with the white stuff! If you would like to send in your snow photos, or anything plant and machinery related then please do so. Email nickydrew16 at btinternet.com using the usual @ email format. You can read more about Eddie, his machine and its attachments in the forthcoming edition of Earthmovers with a report from Paul Argent in addition to another article by Paul featuring a famous trio of tiltrotator equipped rubber ducks at work on the M1. Definitely a couple of stories to look out for!
