Terex targets Benelux region

Terex Trucks is expanding its operations and targeting new customers in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg with its TA300 and TA400 articulated haulers.

Terex Trucks has recently appointed the Matermaco Group as its new dealer for the ‘Benelux’ region, with the aim of capitalising on economic growth in the area. The construction sector in the Netherlands is predicted to grow around 5.5% in 2019, representing the segment with the largest expansion within the Dutch economy. The Belgian construction industry is also expected to grow, by 5.1% and reach £76.4 billion by 2022. What’s more, the Luxembourg government wants to build over 2,500 new homes by 2025.

Spearheading the move are Terex’s latest articulated haulers. The 370hp TA300 can carry up to 28 tonnes and generates a maximum of 1,880Nm of torque from its five-cylinder Scania DC9 engine. Last year, the TA300 was upgraded with a new transmission delivering 5% better fuel efficiency. The TA400, meanwhile, is Terex’s largest articulated hauler and has a maximum payload of 38 tonnes. Its six-cylinder Scania DC13 engine develops 444hp along with 2,255Nm of torque.
