The Liebherr that climbed a tower (Blog Post Re-Visited)

This amazing footage shows how this incredible stunt was set up and performed live for famous “You Bet” style German TV game show Wetten Dass. The skill and amazing courage of the operator is beyond belief! I was in shock after watching it first time around and thinking about the stress and strain that must have been exerted on the machine during the climb. The stunt which features a specially adapted Liebherr R912 excavator has virtually achieved cult status amongst plant and machinery fans and when I talk to lads on site about my blog work, this video always seems to come up in the conversation, as such I make no apologies for re-posting it.
All credit to Liebherr, the television producers and apparently the private group of individuals who set it up, for putting on a great show!
