Turn your digger bucket into a compactor plate with Dynaset HVB

As we know the Scandinavian’s are always in the premier league when it comes to hydraulic technology and excavating techniques and here we see another great idea which I believe hails from Finnish company Dynaset Oy.

The HVB Hydraulic vibra adds adjustable vibration to any excavator boom. Vibration according to Dynaset, makes working easier especially when digging hard ground. Other significant advantages are easier bucket emptying in mud, clay or wet material. Vibration can be utilized also on earth compacting.

The set up for the Hydraulic vibra is a compact piston-to-piston pump that creates a back-and-forth movement when actuated. The adjustable frequency is between 0-18 Hz. Apparently this small pump is easy install to any excavator boom and can powered for example by the breaker hydraulics. In all honesty I was amazed to watch this video of the system mounted on a tiltrotator equipped machine as I was led to believe that vibration, for instance from a hydraulic hammer, is not good for the tiltrotator over long periods. One would have to ask what are the implications of the vibration from this system on the “tilty” unit?

I still think its a great idea and would further enhance the flexibility of any excavator especially on owner/operated machines where they are often working alone.
