When Digger met TJC Plant Sales

It’s been well documented that I have been following the Hidromek brand since the early days of the blog during its Contract Journal era. It’s an interesting company manufacturing some real top quality equipment at its state of the art production facilities in Turkey. The company’s distinctive black & white machines do stand out from the crowd in more ways than one, but of course it’s not all about a flashy paint job, the machines feature well proven parts from some highly regarded blue chip Japanese hydraulic component manufacturers in addition to well-known and well proven power packs. Supplied to over 60 countries around the world including harsh environments like Russia, the machines are now being demoed across the UK with the northern half of the country being supported by Bunton’s Plant and the southern regions being the domain of TJC Plant Sales who are already a long established Wacker Neuson dealership.

According to TJC’s spokeswoman Kim Rose, the Hidromek machines have, as I expected, been generally well received out on trials with some of the largest plant hire companies in the south with one particular large business being very impressed with the feedback supplied by its operators, who have tried the 22 tonne class HMK220LC excavator and HMK102B Supra backhoe loader.

Of course the Brexit result has had some impact on the market with most people taking a cautious approach to purchasing until things are a bit clearer, but I confidently predict that in the new year we will start to see UK end users taking Hidromek machines in decent numbers, in fact I already know of one that has been sold in the north, but more on that at a later date!

As previously mentioned TJC Plant have been selling and hiring out Wacker Neuson machines for some time and there were a number of new models like the ET90 and ET65 midi excavators on display on the front courtyard.

Business was brisk in the company’s workshop with a number of Wacker Neuson forward tipping dumpers like this 9 tonne swivel skip DW90 model being Pre Delivery Inspected before heading off to their new owners.

The company are planning more Hidromek demo’s in the new year and potentially some dig day events which are always a good way to get hands on with the latest kit on offer.
