Win your very own JCB 3C Mark III

The JCB 3C Mark III was one of the most popular machines ever built by JCB. During the models production run, it out-sold all of its competitors combined! The importance of this machine in JCB’s history is reflected by the inclusion of a fully restored example, which takes pride of place in the Story of JCB Visitor Centre within the company’s world headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire. And now the machine has been immortalised in miniature for future generations to enjoy, display and play with for many years to come. The model is seen here with its real life counterpart, another restored 3C Mark III which is actually owned by Julian Carder, worldwide product marketing manager for JCB. Incredibly, the very first JCB toys first appeared in the 1960’s and were manufactured by Matchbox Lesney. Since then, many International and specialist model toy makers have produced examples of JCB products under licence, in addition to books, furniture and entertainment for fans young and old. This latest addition to the portfolio normally retails in the shops around £24.99, but Digger Man Blog readers could get their hands on one for free by answering this simple question. In what year was the famous JCB 3C Mark III first launched? A)     1969 B)      1970 C)      1977 D)     1979 Send your answer, together with your name and address, to nickydrew16 at btinternet.com using the usual @ email format. The two winner’s names will be drawn out of a hat on the 13th October so there is plenty of time to enter. I will announce the winners on the blog on that day. I wish you all the very best of luck!
