Worsley Plant & Lehnhoff couple up

Worsley Plant chose the inaugural Demo Expo show, which took place on the 28th & 29th June in Birmingham, to officially launch a new dealership deal, with long established German attachment manufacturer Lehnhoff Hartstahl GmbH. The deal will see Worsley Plant selling the German company’s comprehensive range of "Variolock" quick couplers in the UK, to the construction, demolition and recycling markets. Worsley Plant’s Managing Director and Sole Proprietor Sean Heron, is clearly delighted as he shakes hands on the deal with Lehnhoff’s Executive Board Member Karl-Heinz Traa  on the stand at Demo Expo. The Lehnhoff “Variolock” system, will be of particular interest to Worsley Plant customers. A fully automatic hydraulic quick coupler for rapid changing of hydraulic attachments. The “Variolock” system consists of a valve block on the quick coupler that is connected with the work hydraulics of the excavator, and of a valve block on the adapter of the attachment that is connected with the hydraulics of the tool. The special clamping of either valve block protects the system from forces acting on the quick coupler and ensures a completely safe hydraulic connection at all times. And according to Lehnhoff, this system has less moving parts than competitive units. These systems are available for a wide range of excavator sizes up to and including 40 ton class machines. Lehnhoff had an impressive display at Bauma 2013 earlier this year, in this video you can see a good variety of the company’s products being displayed at the tri-annual machinery fest in Munich.
We predict exciting times ahead for both parties involved in this dealership arrangement, and it will be interesting to see well engineered German Lehnhoff products at work here in the UK.
