Cutting the Right Angles Down Under
Today we are heading back Down Under to Melbourne, Australia, a place where the humble tilting bucket appears to be king.
One thing I have noticed over the years of writing this blog, is the fascination for tilting buckets in Australia, there’s nothing wrong with that of course, and in my eyes, anything that makes the whole job of operating a machine better, and more cost effective can only be a good thing.
The full blown tiltrotator concept stills seem’s to be a bit of a slow burner Down Under, just as it was here in the early days and although they are making moves into the market, the standard tilting bucket stills appears to be the go-to choice.

I recall the days when we used to have the pleasure of reporting on ex-pat machine operator Michael Bullock, in the days when he was just operating standard sized excavators and not the mining giants, he frequents these days, and back then he was often seen working a tilt bucket attachment, it always appeared to be the norm.
While surfing the web over the weekend I came across this testimonial video from Australian attachment manufacturer Attach2 Equipment when they visited their customer CRE Group.

CRE Group undertakes some impressive earthmoving and civil engineering projects and its clear that they vastly recognise the benefits of the Attach2 Ramtilt tilting bucket for the type of work they undertake.
This is a cracking video, and it was great to hear the Irish lads flying the flag down in Australia, it does seem a popular place for the Irish boys these days, and I have to say, having grown up on the sites in the UK with the Irish, I really miss the unique craic that you get with them on site.
Enjoy the video!
