End of the Line for KATO IMER in the UK

Sad news reached the Digger Man Blog over the weekend, as another business falls victim to the fallout of the Covid-19 pandemic and the ongoing affects to the economy.

End of the Line for KATO IMER in the UK

KATO IMER burst onto the UK scene in early 2018 through a stand-alone division KATO IMER UK LTD, it was an exciting time and the young and enthusiastic team behind the name launched a full-on social media campaign to get this (new to the UK market) brand out there.

Shortly after the launch an official dedicated Dig Day event was held, which in all fairness was absolutely brilliant, offering visitors the chance to get “hands on” with the new machines, not just for a few minutes while someone stood watching you checking his watch, but you could actually spend as long as you liked on the machine. It soon came to light though that the machines were quite expensive to purchase, which made it difficult to be competitive I would assume.

Sadly though, the company have released a short statement on the internet stating that at the end of August 2020 KCM (UK) Ltd as its now known will cease trading. They also state that they are trying to negotiate a support package for warranty, service/repairs and spare parts for the Kato brand of products.

The statement from Kato concludes, “We have tried extremely hard to avoid this regrettable outcome but very sadly the business conditions have made it impossible for us to continue.  We should like to thank everyone that has worked with us over the last few years and wish you every good fortune for the economic recovery that will surely come, but sadly too late for KCM”.

It goes without saying, here at the Digger Man Blog, we wish everyone involved with the KATO IMER UK brand all the best for the future and I’m confident we will see you all again somewhere soon.
