Hidromek’s roll out in stunning orange livery

I’m sure regular readers of this blog will recall the significant order of 135 Hidromek HMK300LC excavators which were supplied to the national water board last year in green & white livery. Well the latest big order features machines in some very distinctive orange paintwork.

Hidromek’s roll out in stunning orange livery
At the launch of his famous Model T car in 1909 it’s often suggested that Henry Ford said, “Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black”, thankfully these days we are spoilt for choice on the colours we can choose from for our cars. This also applies to construction machinery these days too. For example when I first started being engaged with Turkish manufacturer Hidromek back in 2010 the machines were still sporting their original yellow livery as seen in this photo below. dscf0025 But around that time the company was making its transition into a more unusual black and white livery which I think is stunning and stands out from all the other manufacturers on the market. This black and white plumage remains the standard offering when ordering a Hidromek, but like most other manufacturers for a price you can have any colour scheme you like when you order your machine. ss853050 As previously mentioned one of the largest orders for machines in different coloured paintwork came from Turkey’s General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSi) whose machines are now working right across this vast country on water related projects and river maintenance. I was at the factory in Ankara at the time some of these machines were going down the production line. 010 The latest batch of machines produced in a different colour is for 18 HMK300LC’s in orange livery. These machines will be going to work in South Eastern Anatolia and the Black Sea regions where they will be engaged in road and bridge construction projects for another government body in that area. 14670596_1218690354818797_8817554645567315219_n The machines are pictured here in these shots courtesy of Hidromek, lined up outside the factory and ready for delivery and I think you will agree, it’s a pretty impressive line up! 14721653_1218690358152130_6847441907220348416_n The Digger Man Blog would like to thank Hidromek for the use of the last two images.
