It’s an Up and Under from JCB!

Those fine folk up at JCB are never one to miss a trick in producing videos for topical events that are taking place, on this latest occasion, it’s the Rugby World Cup 2023.

Rugby is without doubt my second favourite sport, behind ice hockey, so I am always keeping a keen eye on the big competitions, and let’s face it, they don’t come much bigger than the World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for rugby union national teams, which takes place every four years, and on this occasion is being hosted in France, whose team as we know are currently on fine form.

To celebrate the start of the competition “Team JCB” headed up to the quarry rugby ball in hand, to get into the spirit aided by a JCB 86C-2 mini excavator, and S3246E and a S1930E scissor lift access platforms to replicate the posts!

The big question has to be, did that ball actually fly through the posts having been “kicked” by the 86C-2? Looks like we might have to consult the VAR official for the truth!

Its all-good fun and in keeping with this long-standing tradition that we have come to expect from those canny marketing guys and girls at JCB.

I’m not sure who the JCB team members were possibly Georgina Williams will fill us in with the team sheet!
