Rock Wheel Cutter Bucket shapes up nicely

We are big fans of attachments here on the Digger Man Blog, anything that can make life easier is a good idea as far as I’m concerned, but I never expected to be showcasing an attachment that can create eye catching sculptures out of rock like the team at Borderstone Quarry have, until now …

Rock Wheel Cutter Bucket shapes up nicely
Sheffield based Webster Equipment contacted us recently and were keen to tell us about their incredible 3 in 1 Cutter Bucket which offers the versatility of a traditional bucket combined with powerful Rock Wheel cutting heads making it perfect for trenching and a wide range of other uses including soil mixing, excavation and reducing material from demolition. IMG_9154 But it doesn’t end there, the Cutter Bucket is a real multi tasker, combining a powerful rock and concrete grinder with a digging and crushing bucket; eliminating the need to change attachments, saving time and money. The clever design featuring cutting heads outside the bucket also means the capacity of the attachment isn’t compromised. IMG_0638 Visiting the Borderstone Quarry site and seeing the cutter bucket in action has enabled Ian Webster to spot an innovative way to further enhance the 3 in 1 Cutter Bucket. The modifications are expected to deliver an even more effective crusher solution, establishing the bucket as a “go to“ tool in the attachment market. The longer curved teeth means it’s easier to move and manipulate material, a feature that helped transfer material across Borderstone’s sizeable quarry site and manoeuvre rock into position where the clever shaping and sculpting could begin. IMG_0643 As you can see the end result is pretty impressive. The striking appearance of the stone was created using the precision, hardwearing cutting heads. Distinctive patterns complement the natural beauty of the stone, showcasing the accurate profiling ability of the Webster Rock Wheel cutting head. IMG_0653 The sculptures, commissioned by Daft as a Brush Cancer Care Trust , a charity that supports cancer patients in the North East will take pride of place on the route of the 135 mile River Tyne Walk. Who would have thought some skilful driving and almost 2 tonnes of metal attached to an excavator could create these stunning pieces of art?
