Santa commissions Volvo ADT’s to get the job done
With the great British weather currently up to its old tricks, with a nice mix of torrential rain and gale force winds, it appears that Santa will be using a different mode of transport this year, as this exclusive photo from our reader Paul Stewart clearly shows!
A Lapland “insider” has told the Digger Man Blog, that Santa’s conventional mode of transport, the reindeer and sleigh combination, is likely to be parked up for the British stage of this evening’s present drop off, due to adverse conditions. It was felt that the sleigh might encounter problems in flooded areas, a classic case of the “wrong kind of wind & water”. So with that in mind a pair of classic Volvo A30C dumptrucks have been hired in to keep the show on the road so as to speak. Two of Santa’s helpers are seen in this shot evaluating the trucks for suitability. It is believed that the skip's will be fully cleaned out and lined with red and white material to keep all the presents clean and tidy prior to delivery!
Seriously though, I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas, and I hope you all have a fantastic time with your families tomorrow. And for those that are working over the festive period, enjoy the big money and have your special day a bit later. Enjoy the time off, but please if you want to drink, don’t drive, especially if you’re behind the wheel of a 30 tonne dumptruck!
I am taking a couple of days off now, but will be back later in the week with more new and re-visited blogs.
