Volvo EC60Es in Scottish Highlands
M M Miller Ltd, a housebuilding and ground working contractor based in Caithness, has taken delivery of two brand new Volvo EC60E compact excavators, supplied by Scottish dealer CS Machinery Sales Ltd.
Volvo’s 2.6-litre Stage V emissions-compliant excavator was launched at Plantworx earlier this year and produces 58hp. The six-tonne EC60E also boasts a horizontal reach of 6.4m, a digging depth of 4m and a lift capacity of 650kg. The load-sensing hydraulic system provides fast cycle times and smooth control, while the machines on Miller’s fleet also feature a Steelwrist Tiltrotator for added flexibility.
Operators of the EC60E are treated to air conditioning as standard, and interior vibrations and noise are reduced by the rubber-mounted cab. The shiny new diggers join M M Miller’s two Volvo A25G articulated haulers and other larger excavators in the Scottish Highlands.
