June 2020 proved a busy month for Doosan and sister company Bobcat, with Doosan Infracore offered up for sale by its parent organisation and a bunch of new Bobcats including new attachments launched to market. Elsewhere, Komatsu debuted a new behemoth dozer, Sany also went big with a new range of diggers, and the first B-Series Case track loader landed in the UK...

1) KOMATSU DEBUTS 112-TONNE DOZER

Enormous D475A-8 bulldozer blows us away with its 934hp Stage 5 engine, improvements in main frame stiffness, enhanced creature comforts and electronic work equipment and ripper control. Read more.

 

2) SANY GOES BIG WITH NEW EXCAVATORS

Three new 'ultra large' machines, with operating weights of up to 125 tonnes, revealed as Sany continues to grow its influence in the construction machinery sector. Read more.

 

3) NEW BOBCAT PRESSURE WASHER ATTACHMENT

There are over 100 attachments available for Bobcat's family of compact machinery, so this latest high powered pressure washer is certainly in good company. Read more.

 

4) DOOSAN INFRACORE TO BE SOLD?

Towards the end of June, news emerged that Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction was looking to offload its Doosan Infracore business to raise funds for debt payments. Read more.

 

5) XCMG ELECTRIC EXCAVATOR

Chinese manufacturer XCMG and Cummins Inc partner up for battery-powered mini-excavator, which debuted at this year's CONEXPO event in Las Vegas. Read more.

 

6) BOBCAT'S NEW STAGE 5 MODELS

New telehandlers and compact track loaders signal the dawning of a new era at Bobcat, with the latest Stage 5 powerplants, new-style decals and improved operator visibility. Read more.

 

7) MECALAC LAUNCHES CONNECTED SERVICES

In late June, Mecalac revealed its new connected service to support its clients’ efficiency and profitability, developed in partnership with Trackunit - a telematics platform solutions provider. Read more.

 

8) RED DOT AWARDS FOR VOLVO

Volvo Construction Equipment's battery-electric load carrier concept, along with the manufacturer's ECR58 generation F, earn recognition during the famous Red Dot Awards event. Read more.

 

9) DOOSAN'S SMART CONSTRUCTION SOLUTION

The South Korean firm's XiteCloud idea is the first step towards the commercialisation of Concept-X, the company’s integrated unmanned and automated control solution. Read more.

 

10) FIRST CASE B-SERIES SOLD

Robert Coates Plant Sales Ltd supplies Baker Groundworks with Case's first B-series compact track loader sold in the UK, the large-frame machine boasting 74hp and 2.8-tonne tipping load. Read more.
