Takeuchi Turn on the Style in Bauma

Our round up of the biggest and the best construction machinery trade fair continues with a stop off to see our friends on the Takeuchi stand, where luckily for me, I got to spend time with the wonderful Holly Cooke of Takeuchi UK.

Takeuchi Turn on the Style in Bauma

There was plenty to see for the fans of the “red & grey” including three new 3-Series models.

Following hot on the heels of the 2.5-tonne TB325R reduced tail swing model that was launched last year, Takeuchi revealed the 3.5-tonne TB335R model, and the 5-tonne class TB350R.

The TB335R has an operating weight of 3,760 kgs. (8,290 lbs.), a maximum bucket breakout force of 27.1 kN (6,090 lbs.) and a maximum arm digging force of 20.6 kN (4,630 lbs.) Power comes from an EU Stage V emissions compliant diesel engine producing a power output of 18.2kw (24.4hp).

A larger version of the TB335R, the TB350R has an operating weight of 5,085 kgs. (11,210 lbs.) Power comes from a 32.4kw (43.4hp) EU emissions compliant diesel engine. The machine features a whopping boom offset of 71° left and 55° to the right and a maximum dig depth of 3,575 mm (11.7 ft).

Both machines feature a spacious cab and a 7”-inch colour touchscreen monitor, multi-functional display.

The TB395W wheeled excavator was also revealed on the stand, the latest upgrade to the ever-popular TB295W, which has secured itself in the UK market especially, as an operator’s favourite. Tipping the scales at 10,150 kgs. (22,375 lbs.) power comes from a Stage V emission’s compliant 85kw (113.9hp) diesel engine.

Fans of classic equipment were also in for a treat as Takeuchi displayed their first ever hydraulic mini excavator the TB1000.

We look forward to getting “hands on” with the new machines in due course for Earthmovers Magazine.
